Volunteer of the Quarter
When the Keytesville Chamber of Commerce met January 22, 2018, Shirley Morris was selected as Volunteer of the Quarter. Shirley is married to Dale Morris, Jr. and is the mother of three sons: Blake, Dustin, and Daniel. She is the grandmother to Shaylynn, Kedence, and MacKenna. Shirley is the daughter of the late Shirley and Dean Piercy.
Shirley indicated she had lived in Keytesville all her life, and had graduated from Keytesville High School in 1986. Over the years, Shirley has held several jobs. She has been a caregiver, a waitress and also a cook. Since 2016 she and her husband have owned and operated The Café in Keytesville.
Shirley is known for her volunteer work in the community. She has generously donated food stuffs many times (such as hot chocolate, coffee, etc) to the Chamber of Commerce when it has sponsored events such as Trunk or Treat. In addition she has made numerous lap quilts for patients in nursing homes, has helped transport people to medical appointments, and has assisted with grocery shopping for people unable to leave their homes. It is locally known that Shirley is a person always willing to help out if she possibly can. Congratulations to Shirley Morris, Volunteer of the Quarter, from the Keytesville Chamber of Commerce.
